Community

High Street Uniting Church runs a weekly meal for the disadvantaged on Wednesday lunchtimes.

We host and support the Voices of Frankston Choir, which rehearses on Wednesdays at 10:30 at the church during term times, “bringing people together through friendship and song.” They can be contacted through Facebook, on 0401 580 636 or email voicesoffrankstonchoir@gmail.com

We also run Operation Larder, which for more than 30 years has been providing food and other provisions for distribution to those in need through Community Support Frankston.

Our facilities are also used to host various groups including programs for AA, AlAnon, Women’s Narcotics Anonymous and Gamblers Anonymous.

We have fortnightly Bible studies on Wednesday and Thursday nights in people’s homes. There is also a choir which rehearses on Wednesday afternoons for the Traditional service on Sunday, and a band which plays for the Contemporary service.

We have a prayer chain, which is a network of people who are open to receiving requests for prayer, which they will pray confidentially. Please forward requests through the office or see contact details on our news sheets.

There are monthly dinners held by both members of the traditional congregation, and members of the contemporary congregation.

Other regular groups involved in fundraising and/or fellowship include the LEGS (Ladies Evening Group), the Mission Guild, and craft groups like  Amitié.
